J. Grover Thomas Jr.
J. Grover Thomas Jr., Chairman of Trustmark Mutual Holding Company, has been in the insurance industry for more than 30 years. Thomas is Past Chairman and Director of America's Health Insurance Plans (AHIP), the principal policy-making body of the health insurance industry and the Medical Information Bureau (MIB) Group, Inc. He is current Chairman of Crioestaminal-Saúde e Tecnologia, SA (Portugal), is on the board of directors of USHealth Group, is a trustee of the Actuarial Foundation and the Georgia State University Foundation, and is Chairman of Freedom from Hunger. A native of Kingman, Ariz., Thomas holds a bachelor's degree from Briar Cliff University in Sioux City, Iowa, and an MBA from Georgia State University, where he was the recipient of the Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award in 1997. He is also former president of Georgia State's Alumni Association. 
Joseph L. Pray
Joseph L. Pray joined Trustmark in 2002 as Vice President of Sales, Trustmark Voluntary Benefit Solutions, and in 2004, assumed responsibility for Marketing. He was promoted to Senior Vice President in 2007 and led that division to record sales before being named President and Chief Operating Officer of Trustmark in 2010. Since 2010, he has overseen revenue growth and strong operating performance in each of Trustmark’s core businesses. In addition, Pray has initiated a technology investment strategy to further differentiate Trustmark from its competitors and support future growth. He succeeded David M. McDonough as Trustmark Chief Executive Officer in 2012. Prior to Trustmark, Pray served as President and Chief Operating officer of Greater Georgia Life Insurance Co., a subsidiary of Cerulean Companies/Blue Cross Blue Shield of Georgia. He has more than 30 years of experience in the insurance industry. Pray currently serves on the boards of America’s Health Insurance Plans (AHIP), United Way of Lake County, Ill., and the MIB Group, Inc. He earned a bachelor of science in both accounting and data processing from Ferris State University, and holds designations of Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC). 
Phil Goss, CPA
Phil Goss joined Trustmark in 2008 as Vice President, Finance, and was named Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in 2010. He has served in previous positions as Vice President, Client Reporting and Infomatics for Health Care Service Corp., which operates through its Blue Cross and Blue Shield (BCBS) divisions in Illinois, New Mexico, Texas and Oklahoma, and as Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of Fort Dearborn Life Insurance, also a division of Health Care Service. He holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from Bryant University in Smithfield, R.I., and a master's degree in business administration from Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill. |
